Awards and Accolades Within one year her business had done so well, it was apparent that this would become a full time career. She was approached by her peers to compete in the American Disc Jockey Awards in Las Vegas in January of 1997 and was awarded "Female Entertainer of the Year". After almost a full year of intense work, Lisa felt there was again another level to reach in the industry and began the process of developing something fresh and new for every DJ across the country and around the world. In November of 1997 she presented a brand new song and dance called "Do the Dance" to 75 Disc Jockey's in her area. A song she wrote, sang and choreographed. The response was so overwhelming that within 2 weeks time over 100 CD's were circulating around the Los Angeles and Orange Counties. After realizing that this could be the new "Line Dance" to replace all the others, Lisa made the decision to promote this song all over the country. She went to Las Vegas once again to compete in the American Disc Jockey Awards and in a room of 700 DJ's, Lisa pulled the audience up to the dance floor to teach this new dance and the crowd went crazy. She was awarded "Female Entertainer of the Year" for the second year in a row and left Las Vegas having sold over 2,000 CD's to DJ's and Line Dance instructors all over the world! Just when she thought she had reached the top Lisa was approached by the industry to create another type of interactive dance. She wanted to write a song and dance the DJ's could use at their events that would send a message of joy and happiness to a celebration. So Lisa went back into the studio and "Joy" was born. Competing in the DJ awards for her final time with Joy, once again the crowd was on her side and for the third year in a row "Female Entertainer of the Year" became her title.
